Ready Mix Concrete
Ready-mix concrete is concrete that is manufactured in a batch plant, according to a set engineered mix design. Ready-mix concrete, or RMC as it’s also known, refers to concrete that is specifically batched or manufactured for customers’ construction projects. It is a mixture of Portland cement, water and aggregates: sand, gravel, or crushed stone. Batch plants combine a precise amount of rock, sand, water and cement together by weight, allowing specialty concrete mixtures to be developed and implemented on construction sites.

Fly ash is a fine powder which is a by product from burning pulverized coal in electric generation power plants. The fly ash produced by coal-fired power plants provide an excellent prime material used in blended cement, mosaic tiles, and hollow blocks among others. Fly ash can be used as prime material in blocks, paving or bricks; however, one the most important applications is PCC pavement. PCC pavements use a large amount of concrete and substituting fly ash provides significant economic benefits.

Chemical admixtures are the ingredients in concrete other than portland cement, water, and aggregate that are added to the mix immediately before or during mixing. Producers use admixtures primarily to reduce the cost of concrete construction; to modify the properties of hardened concrete; to ensure the quality of concrete during mixing, transporting, placing, and curing; and to overcome certain emergencies during concrete operations. Successful use of admixtures depends on the use of appropriate methods of batching and concreting. Most admixtures are supplied in ready-to-use liquid form and are added to the concrete at the plant or at the jobsite. Admixtures are classed according to function. There are five distinct classes of chemical admixtures: air-entraining, water-reducing, retarding, accelerating, and plasticizers (superplasticizers).

Aggregates & Sand
Coarse aggregates are an important material used in the production of concrete products, which provides strength to concrete. They are also known as Jelly/stones, Blue Metal or Crushed Stones. Coarse aggregates are particles greater than 4.75mm, but generally range between 9.5mm to 37.5mm in diameter. They can either be from Primary, Secondary or Recycled sources. Gravels constitute the majority of coarse aggregate used in concrete with crushed stone making up most of the remainder. Crushed Sand is used in preparing concrete mix along with cement and aggregates. River sand is found in river streams and banks and is fine in quality unlike pit sand. This type of sand has rounded grains generally white-grey in colour. River sand is used for brick-work and plastering during construction.
OPC 53 grade cement is used for cost effective speedy constructions where initial higher strength is the criteria. It provides long lasting durability to concrete structures. This cement is used in high rise residential & commercial buildings and also for pre-stressed concrete of higher grades. OPC 43 Grade Cement takes less setting time and provides long life to concrete structures such as residential & commercial buildings, RCC water tanks etc. This cement is commonly used for House construction RCC works, where initial setting time is not of importance. PPC cement is a blended portland pozzolana cement, which is best suited for for non -building concreting works like brick/ block walls construction, flooring, plastering as chances of developing cracks are less due to low heat of hydration.
