Anindita Chakraborty
Born and raised in Kolkata, the "City of Joy", I grew up in a middle-class family with aspirations to build a better life. As a single child, balancing the responsibility of supporting my parents while pursuing my ambitions shaped much of who I am today. My journey hasn't been studded with grand achievements, but the path to where I stand today has been defined by resilience and perseverance.
In 2006, I married someone whose energy and optimism shaped the foundation of our life together. My husband encouraged me to aim high, always reminding me that possibilities are endless with the right mindset. At the time, I was immersed in my career at a leading Express Distribution and Supply Chain Management company, where I worked hard and earned both respect and responsibility. In 2009, I welcomed a baby boy into my world and chose to step back from work to fully embrace motherhood.
A year later, I returned to work, learning to balance professional responsibilities with my growing family. Life moved forward steadily until 2022, when everything changed. My husband suffered a massive brain stroke, and overnight, I found myself grappling with a reality I had never imagined. Between caring for him, paying for the bills and other financial pressures, the uncertainty grew without any support.
Time flew by, money drained quickly, and hope seemed out of reach as doctors gave grim updates. Then, in my darkest hour, when I was at my lowest, an act of kindness was what gave me strength. My senior boss stepped in to support us, and my former colleagues came together to raise funds for my husband's treatment. Their generosity and compassion were a lifeline, reminding me that hope can emerge even in the bleakest times.
Amidst all the chaos, one step at a time, I found strength in rebuilding my life. In October 2023, I embarked on a new chapter with Infra.Market, embracing fresh opportunities alongside responsibilities. The collaborative culture and support from my mentors have been instrumental in helping me grow both personally and professionally.
This new phase has allowed me to challenge myself and push my boundaries to rediscover confidence in my career. Each day at Infra.Market brings opportunities to learn, contribute, and build something meaningful alongside a team that inspires me.
Reflecting on my journey, I see a path shaped by resilience, gratitude, and lessons learned through challenges. While life has tested me in unimaginable ways, it has also shown me the power of persistence and support. Yet, through it all, I have learned one essential truth: Never Give Up.
