Hemal Lathia

Growing up in a household with my family, I was always the much-pampered child. I was fortunate to grow up in a family that stuck together through thick and thin. I knew that they were always there for me, no matter what. After finishing my engineering degree in 2009, I started as a software developer and became fascinated with networks.

I switched careers to become a network administrator, took a lower salary, and earned my CCIE Certification in Routing and Switching. This made my family proud.

In 2020, I joined Infra.Market, which gave me valuable experience building a network from scratch despite being a risk as a startup. This opportunity became a turning point in my life when I participated in the IM Responsible initiative, allowing me to make a positive impact and enrich my life. Teaching underprivileged children proved to be one of the most fulfilling experiences I've had, allowing me to contribute to the greater good and sharpen my teaching abilities. Witnessing the children learn and grow motivated me to seek out more opportunities to make a difference in the world. I am grateful for this meaningful experience and excited for what the future holds.

The realization that I enjoy both guiding others and contributing individually at work helped me become a better human, a better leader. Now, I aspire to lead by example and am in a good place professionally, thanks to the support and guidance of my manager, @JamesPio, the CTO, Satya Kaliki, management, and co-workers. I was overwhelmed to receive the Most Valuable Player in my organization. I am excited to see where this takes me next and to continue making a positive impact on those around me.
