I hail from a modest background in Alleppey, Kerala. Growing up had its challenges, especially after my father closed his hotel business due to financial setbacks. The need to mature and find a job clouded my focus during my studies. Despite a disappointing high school performance, I resolved to prove my potential and excel. Through relentless efforts, I excelled in post-graduation, a significant achievement given my past academic struggles. Juggling between tuition and daily wage work, I remained steadfast in my determination.
After completing my post-graduation, I joined a CA firm, initially unpaid. Six months later in 2016, I got an interview call from an RMC company, presenting a challenge as I lacked preparation. Thankfully, my cousin referred me to the opportunity, and I had to borrow my friend's shoes and belt to appear appropriately for the interview. This period tested my fortitude in adapting to an office environment, especially with my non-English academic background. Communication in English and drafting emails were challenging, but I persisted, turning each improvement into a learning experience.
After six years, I joined Infra.Market in 2022, after the lockdown. Under D Mohammed's guidance, I flourished with ample freedom from the start. I quickly progressed from Senior Executive Accounts to Assistant Manager Accounts, thriving amidst a steep learning curve. My value became apparent when we implemented ERP Software for accounts. Leveraging my existing knowledge, I quickly became the go-to person for assistance with the software, solidifying my role as a vital member of the ERP team. Looking back, I can say today that my hustle brought me rewards in the form of career development and a better quality of life.
